After the employee enrolls in a high deductible health plan, they may voluntarily purchase the Pop Supp (GAP) plan to fully cover the deductible. (Note; offered health plans cover 100% after deductible) The document posted above demonstrates the cost of the Pop Supp GAP plan may be leveraged against pre tax contributions, helping to keep take home pay intact. Example shows additional voluntary products purchased further leveraging pre tax to keep take home pay intact.
As pre tax purchase may not cover the entire cost of the Pop Supp GAP plan, the employee may be reimbursed the balance of premium monthly via EFT.
Employee participation in the in the Population Health program is required for reimbursement of excess Pop Supp plan premium. This keeps take home pay intact and provides the Pop Supp plan at no cost covering the health plan deductible. (Plan covers 100% in network after deductible)
